It's Harborfest 2006 in Norfolk, VA. When this photo was taken, most of the sailboats ( and a lot of other craft) had passed by. The event this year was dedicated to Lane Briggs who was instrumental in starting the "Parade of Sail" years ago. Lane Briggs' achievements included building and helping to design the Norfolk Rebel, the world's first sail-assisted tugboat, which he nicknamed the "tugatine." That craft is located toward the right of the panorama and on board are his family and friends. Maximum size 80 inches and available on fine art paper or canvas. |
